YARNIE CORNER
Yarnie Corner is a vibrant community and supplier of quality yarns, where creativity, connection, and fibre arts come to life.
The Story of Yarnie Corner
Yarnie Corner began as a small, home-based supplier of cotton yarns during the lockdown, founded by Annelie Fouché. She also introduced a monthly Sip ‘n Stitch gathering in Centurion, bringing together a community of fibre lovers to share creativity, laughter, and, of course, yarn.
In 2022, Almarié Conradie attended one of these gatherings, and it wasn’t long before she was fully immersed in the world of fibres and friendship. As the years passed, Annelie found herself in search of a dependable cotton yarn supplier—an endeavour that led to the birth of Beth’Ani Hand-Dyed Cottons in 2024. Almarié, deeply inspired by the craftsmanship and the vision behind Beth’Ani, knew she wanted to be more than just a customer. She eagerly joined as a partner, helping to rebrand and expand Yarnie Corner into something even more special.
BETH'ANI
Beth’Ani is a heartfelt collection of hand-dyed cotton yarns, each colourway honoring the women who inspire and connect us.
The Story of BETH'ANI
On January 25th, 2025, Annelie and Almarié officially introduced Beth’Ani Hand-Dyed Cottons at the Pretoria Stoepmark, making a bold entrance into the world of artisanal yarns. The name Beth’Ani is a heartfelt blend of Annelie’s mother’s name (Elizabeth) and her own cherished nickname (Annie), symbolizing the personal connections woven into every skein. What makes Beth’Ani truly unique is the meaning behind each colourway. Every shade is named after a woman who holds a special place in our hearts—a tribute to the friendships and bonds that yarn has the power to create.
At Yarnie Corner, we believe that fibre arts are more than just a craft; they’re a way to bring people together, inspire creativity, and turn simple threads into something extraordinary. We’re thrilled to have you as part of our journey!
MONTHLY YARNFESTS
SIP & STICH
On the first Saturday of every month, Yarnie Corner hosts its beloved Sip ‘n Stitch—a tradition that began with Annelie after lockdown. Her vision was simple yet heartfelt: to create a welcoming space where kindred spirits could gather, unwind, and immerse themselves in the joy of their craft.
What started as a small circle of crafters, knitting and crocheting over cups of coffee or tea, has blossomed into a cherished event where friendships are formed, knowledge is shared, and creativity flourishes. More than just a gathering, it is a moment to breathe, laugh, craft… and simply be.
